orville-write software package provides An alternative to the standard write program, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install orville-write
orville-write is installed in your system.
Make ensure the orville-write package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep orville-write *
You will get with orville-write package name, version, architecture and description in a table
